  • Varsity Schedule Drop: New School, New Season, Same Grind

The varsity schedule is officially out, and this season hits different for me. Last year, I played varsity at West Charlotte. I built real chemistry with my teammates, learned the system, and started to settle into my role. We moved like a unit, and it felt like everything was finally clicking.

Now I’m at Mallard Creek, and everything is new. New system, new energy, new expectations. I won’t lie—I miss the guys from last year. We had a bond, and we understood each other on the court. But starting fresh is helping me grow in ways I didn’t expect. I have to adjust, learn fast, earn trust, and prove myself all over again. It’s uncomfortable sometimes, but that’s exactly why it’s good for me. Growth never comes from staying the same.

Once the schedule dropped, I went straight to YouTube. I’ve been watching film on these teams—full games, highlights, whatever I can find. Seeing how they play, how they move, and what their strengths are gives me a better feel for what we’re walking into. This isn’t just guessing; it’s based on what I’ve actually watched and studied.

d looking at this schedule? Yeah, it’s a real one. No warmups, no easy games. Every matchup is a chance to show who I am.
